Nathan graduated from the Detroit Public School System and currently serves as a dean of academics in the city of Detroit. He is an literacy advocate who values reading and literacy as a means of bridging the gap between the literate and those who cannot read. In addition to his educational background, he serves the community, primarily through tutoring and mentoring of the youth. He currently is a mentor for teenagers, being resourceful and working one-on-one with teenagers whom have diverse needs. Nathan is the proud recipient of a Spirit of Detroit Award, Diversity Champion for 2011, and a Census 2010 Award. He has a Master of Science in Reading and Literacy, Education and Bachelor of Science in Elementary Eduction.
